What can you tell us about yourself? I am sure you might have heard this line numerous times. This question always makes me wonder what do I know about myself, and what should I be telling? What anyone chooses to reveal about oneself changes with times and places. The question always has a particular answer to justify your role and abilities narrowly at a certain point in your life. It is impossible to describe one's life in a mere few sentences. However, if you read these lines, you might only be interested in my academic qualifications and command over languages as a literary translator.
Born and raised in Lahore, Pakistan, I graduated from Lahore College for Women. My subsequent education included a Bachelor in Education from Punjab University and an MA in English from Government College before being awarded a Fulbright Scholarship-FLTA at the University of Illinois Chicago to teach Urdu. Having worked as an English Language and early childhood professional for more than twenty years. I now devote myself to creative writing, translating literary works from English to Urdu, and making monthly podcasts under the name of Urdu Service. In addition, I love to travel around the world with my husband and two children.
